
Dr. Khurshid is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine. He has been practicing medicine in Central Florida for the past fifteen years, working at Central Florida Regional Hospital, Advent Health Deland and Advent Health Fish Hospital. He also regularly visits his patients at nursing and rehabilitation centers, working as a medical director at Majestic Oaks Nursing and Rehab and the John Knox Village. Dr. Khurshid is also currently part of the MEC committee at Advent Fish Memorial.
Dr. Khurshid went to medical school at DOW Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan which is amongst the most prestigious medical schools in Pakistan. After graduating in 1993, Dr. Khurshid earned his M.B.B.S. degree and served as a medical doctor in Karachi, Pakistan for eight years. He moved to Chicago in 2002 where he pursued his post-graduate education and completed his residency training at St. Francis hospital in Evanston and received an M.D degree. The need to be closer to family brought him to Florida where he and his wife practiced as a hospitalist for seven years. He then established a private practice, Saxon Internal Medicine to better serve the communities of Volusia County.
Dr. Khurshid loved to spend his free time with his family, biking, gardening and traveling. He also enjoys sports and fitness and inspires his patients to do the same, encouraging them to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
